My golden retriever puppy, Cooper, thought sleeping on the stairs was a good idea (our bigger dog does it) it proved to be a bit of a challenge though. Sleepy Puppy.

UPDATE: I can't take the credit for the much discussed laughter in this video. It belongs to our beloved housekeeper.
She was also the one who informed us that Cooper was boycotting his bed in favor of the stairs, prompting me to get the camera.

Every puppy I've been around does this.. my dogs still do this to a degree. especially my boxer/lab mix..
I think the puppies like to have their heads elevated while sleeping like a comfort thing.. kind of like how most humans sleep with? a pillow.. if that makes sense.. it's adorable and so silly :P

I bet the reason he wouldn't just move? to the floor is because when puppies are sleeping with their fellow litter pups, they sleep on top of each other. Don't we as humans revert back to the same sleeping positions we had in the gestation period? Full circle.
